Day 1: 18 June 2020: Arrive Colombo

Enjoy a midmorning shared transfer  from your home to Perth International Airport with Group Escort Melaine. On arrival in Colombo transfer to 5 Star Jetwing Blue Hotel to enjoy 2 nights stay in Negombo.  (No Meals)

Day 2: 19 June 2020: Negombo

This morning is a day of rest to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Jetwing Blue Hotel. In the afternoon take a city tour of Negombo to visit the Negombo Fish Market and Harbour, Dutch church and port, Angurukaramulla Temple, St Mary’s Church and Hindu Temple. Later join Melaine for a welcome dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 3: 20 June 2020: Negombo—Dambulla

After breakfast continue your trip to Dambulla, the hub of the cultural triangle. Check into 5 star Jetwing Lake for a 4 night stay. Later in the afternoon visit Dambulla Cave Temple. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4: 21 June 2020: Anuradhapura Excursion

After breakfast proceed for an excursion to Anuradhapura a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the north-central part of the Island. Visit Mihintale a mountain peak near Anuradhapura. Mihintale is now a pilgrimage site and the site of several religious monuments and       abandoned structures. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5: 22 June 2020: Polonnaruwa & Wildlife

Morning excursion to the ancient city Polonnaruwa a UNESCO World Heritage Site which remains one of the best planned archaeological relic sites in the country. In the afternoon enjoy your jeep safari to witness a herd of wild elephants and various other wildlife species in Minneriya National Park. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6: 23 June 2020: Dambulla—Sigiriya—Hiriwadunna—Dambulla

After breakfast leave for Sigiriya to visit the Rock Fortress. Thereafter travel to a traditional wattle and daub house for a cooking experience.  Together with the chef, wander though the vegetable farm and pluck the best vegetables. Join the chef and learn how to cut the vegetables in style, cook them and at the end you can taste the delicious meal you prepared.  After lunch enjoy a total Village Experience.  Enjoy a guided walk around the village to see the daily life of the farmers and the maybe do a bit of bird spotting as you walk alongside Hiriwadunna Lake. Day 7: 24 June 2020: Dambulla—Kandy

After breakfast travel to Kandy, visiting a spice garden in Matale en-route. The guide will walk you through the spice garden, showing the plants, explaining the uses and the products that could be produced from them. On arrival in Kandy, check into Earl’s Regent for two nights. The rest of the day is free. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 8: 25 June 2020: Kandy

This morning visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. Started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kids of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 5,000 species of trees, plants and creepers.  Visit the Gem Museum in Kandy.  Sri Lanka has been famous for high-quality gems and stones and was given the name Ratna-Dweepa (Island of Gems). Starting from the mining process to the finished gems, all is    explained. Later in the evening explore the town and visit Temple of the Tooth Relic.  That evening enjoy Upper Lake Drive and a cultural dance show (including fire walking). (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 9: 26 June 2020: Kandy—Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast transfer to the railway station for an exciting hill-country train ride to Nuwara Eliya. Upon arrival visit a tea plantation and factory as you watch the tea pluckers with their baskets and bags pluck leaves from the plantations. Later, enjoy a High Tea experience at a Colonial style hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Enjoy an overnight stay at Araliya Green Hills hotel. (Breakfast, High Tea, Dinner)

Day 10: 27 June 2020: Nuwara Eliya—Yala

After breakfast travel by road to  Yala. On arrival check in to Tamarind Lake hotel before getting on your safari gear before you commence your evening safari. Yala is famous for it’s big herds and large numbers of Elephants, Leopards, Spotted Dear, Sambar, Crocodiles, Mongoose Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo and many other animals.  Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 11:  28 June 2020: Yala—Galle

After breakfast travel to Galle. On arrival enjoy an excursion to Galle Fort the most ancient and important harbor in Sri Lanka until Colombo Harbor was established. Explore the Bazaar for local hand-crafted souvenirs. Check in for a two night stay at Amari Galle Hotel (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 12: 29 June 2020: Galle

Spend the day relaxing or  take a tuk tuk for some futher exploration of Galle. Enjoy an amazing special farewell dinner arrangement on the beach for the group. (Breakfast, Farewell Dinner)

Day 13: 30 June 2020: Galle—Airport

After a leisurely breakfast you will travel back to Colombo. Enjoy a Colombo City Tour visiting interesting places such as The Independence Square, SSC Cricket Club and Sri Lanka Cricket Head office, Colombo Museum, Galle Face Green and street food shops before transferring to Colombo  International Airport for a late night flight to Perth via Singapore arriving 1 July with a shared transfer to your home.
